The ultimate Math Challenge

distributed in the Eastern United States by
BTAC Productions

MathMagic drills math skills in a fun and challenging board game that will require the players to quickly complete ver 1000 calculations in an average game.

MathMagic is a game that drills addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in the form of fast paced board game. MathMagic is also quick and easy to learn; the instructions take up less then one sheet of paper. MathMagic is played in a very similar way to scrabble, but uses numbers to carry out math functions instead of using letters to form words. Players can also earn bonus points for doing things like filling holes, which not only builds math skills but also teaches strategy, problem solving and forward thinking.

MathMagic easily adapts so kids (or adults) of different ages and skill levels can play together at the same time. At school fairs and other events where I have shown the game, I normally have elementary students playing with middle school and high school students at the same time. Everyone has fun, including all of the kids who swear that they hate math. MathMagic was also developed so students could play solitaire allowing them to practice on their own.

After I started carrying the MathMagic and took it to several events I added some new rules, which are not in the box, to allow kids who are old enough to recognize colors and numbers to join in with the older kids. Basically this allows anyone to play MathMagic as long as they won’t eat the tiles. I made up the additional rules so the whole family could play and not leave anyone out. I also made up the additional rules to allow kids with better math skills to teach the other players and to let kids who haven’t had math yet see it in a fun environment so they are not afraid of it later.

Each game is in a shrink-wrapped box. Each game also includes the instructions for the game written in three languages. My additional rules will be included at no charge upon request.
